Susan Hood

Working at the torch is a form of meditation for Susan.  She focuses on the creative process through a liquid medium always endeavoring to capture light in her pieces.  This element is fundamental in how Susan’s work is shaped, colored and presented, She sees her jewelry as an extension of the personality of the wearer in harmony with the intent of the artist.  Susan Hood is a proud member of the Toronto Bead Society, Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council, president of the Lampworkers of Atlantic and Maritime Provinces, the Yarmouth Crafts Guild and is the past Regional Director for Canada of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers. Her work has been presented to “A” list stars at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Golden Globes.
